I was looking at my youngest son, Marko, last night while he was doing his homework, and I suddenly realized that he is already 9 years old. feeling ko baby pa eh.
And I also realized now that I’ve been a real estate broker for 9 years too.
The year I gave birth to Marko was also the year I resigned from Alveo and started exploring what it would be like to use my license as a real estate broker. I gave birth to him in 2017 and took maternity leave. At that time, Allen was still with Alveo, so it was pretty much business as usual.
That was after a good 11–12 years with Alveo for me.
Around this time too, our askME partners, May and Mike, invited several friends over for dinner. They introduced their idea of putting up a brokerage company called askME.
I said yes, and Allen agreed to it too. I could say that it is one of the best decisions we’ve ever said yes to.
In 2018, we incorporated askME and leased a 5-seater coworking space at High Street South Corporate Plaza in BGC.
Just like with almost anything I put myself into, I find ways na galingan ang service for our clients. I studied how to be a good broker not just at selling and leasing properties, but at being a good broker for my clients. I’m happy that we are very aligned with our partners on this.
So looking back, 9 years na rin pala akong practicing as a broker, handling resale, rentals, and property management, on top of preselling.
Ang bilis naman. HOW COULD THAT HAVE GONE BY SO QUICKLY? It honestly didn’t even feel like 9 years kahit nagkapandemic kasi even during the pandemic, work didn’t really stop.

Today, it has been raining non-stop, so the kids were dismissed early from school. I also just finished making a Lease Experience Feedback Survey for my direct tenants. I’ll make one for my direct property owners too.
I’m also currently doing an emailer about Arca South and Nuvali that I can send to my clients to update them about the latest property offerings there.
That’s it for today. Nag-blog lang kasi break muna. Haha. and also pala, this September 1, I’ll be celebrating 21 years in real estate. Baka kaya nasesenti. Haha.
Stay safe and dry 🙂
