I’m currently surrounded by unwrapped and unnamed gifts that we have to distribute tomorrow. They’re all here, just not… finished. And for some reason, instead of labeling them, I felt the need to type.
ADHD na ata ako. Hehe.
I just finished preparing s’mores for the kids’ morning snack. I’m having coffee now, the kids are on their gadgets, and the house is still quiet. Nothing urgent yet, but everything waiting. Haha.
Yesterday was a good day. I got to watch two shows. The first was with Allen and my friend Yanie at Vice for Shady Brunch. Later that night, I watched the OGs show at Rampa by myself—the Drag Race Season 1 reunion.
Shady Brunch was fun. Each queen performed, then came the roast. Mas masaya because Allen was with me. At the start of the year, he promised to watch one show with me every month. I think he made it to 10 out of 12. No carry-over daw, especially if there’s no show with Precious or Divine Divas. Haha.

After Vice, Allen left me there so I could get a massage—two hours of Thai massage while waiting for the OG reunion show to start. I ate at Via Mare after. Ang sarap ng arroz caldo and palitaw. Hehe.
When I got to Rampa, I was a little uneasy at first. I was standing. I was alone. I didn’t know my tablemates. It has been a long time since I watched by myself. But it turned out fine, especially when the show started and I started seeing familiar faces passing by.

There’s something sentimental about watching the Season 1 queens perform. Watching the video tribute last night and then seeing them live now, all grown up, made me so happy for the OG queens — especially my faves Brigiding, Vinas and Precious. My love for Divine Divas started when I first watched them live—after finishing Season 1. Their chemistry, stage presence, kindness and excellence remain unmatched for me.

And watching Precious perform “Kiss It Better” in front of so many first-timers—people seeing her live for the first time—was a proud and happy moment for me. I don’t even know how to explain why! I even heard Marina fans behind me say, “magaling pala talaga sya,” and all of them agreeing—kinilig ako!
I transform when I watch Precious perform.
I shout. I push. I stomp. I jump. Minsan iniisip ko, dapat ba mahiya ako. haahaha maybe that’s just the real me showing herself—the version that doesn’t need to be contained, productive, or polite. HAHAHA.
I went home very happy and energized even if the night ended with no hug from Precious hahaha. I went home very hungry too. Hours of standing did that. Good thing we had take-home lechon from Dad’s birthday! Hehe.
Now it’s the next morning. Coffee in hand. Gifts still unwrapped. Names and labels still missing. But I’m here, typing instead. But I’m glad I typed first.
Okay, wrap na. Hehe.
