Life,
Real Estate,
and Wet Grass
Hello, I’m Myra Miranda—real estate broker, business owner, friend, wife, mom, and forever student of life.
This year marks 20 years since I first stepped into the world of real estate. Back then, I was fueled by a deep desire to prove myself. It was 2005, fresh out of DLSU with a degree in BS Math and a specialization in Computer Science.
I studied hard, yet there I was—handing out flyers in the mall. I remember people looking at me from head to toe, taking my flyer and sometimes tossing it straight into the trash (hooy, I glued my name to that flyer! 😂). I would stay at the mall until midnight to catch moviegoers after the last full show, and wake up at 3AM to insert flyers into newspapers before distribution.
I didn’t fully understand what I was doing back then—I was just following what my team leader told me. But that grind? It planted something important.
Beyond hard work, I didn’t realize it at the time, but those years of solving equations and following systems gave me a secret strength: structure. It shaped how I worked, how I stayed grounded, and how I built my career. Early on, I was told to follow a simple point system—daily actions that helped keep me focused. I had no sales experience, but I followed it. That quiet consistency – in hardwork and system – became my compass.
On days when motivation was low, the structure held me up. And over time, it became a rhythm I would return to—not just in business, but in life.

For me, real estate,
at its core, is about people.
It’s about more than closing deals. It’s about helping families find the space where they’ll build memories and celebrate milestones. It’s about investors with dreams and goals I help shape.
In the beginning, I chased personal targets—sales, awards, and incentives (I even earned a trip to Madrid, Spain as the top overall seller for Makati/Nuvali!). But after a meaningful career break in Singapore in 2010, something shifted.
I came back with a deeper understanding: It’s not about me anymore.
From that point on, things just flowed. Clients found me, referrals grew, and commissions followed. The award I treasure most to this day isn’t for sales—but for Customer Focus, something that reminds me why I do what I do.
I still set goals—especially during vision board season—but for the rest of the year, I stay focused on others. That’s when the real magic happens.

Travel, Roadshows, and Staying Curious
Since 2006, travel has become a part of both my personal and professional journey. I’ve led international roadshows, met clients across continents, and blended work with concerts, drag shows, culture, and cuisine.
Just last year, I visited nine countries: UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, Japan (three times!), Bangkok, and Canada. Some trips were for property shows, others were for joy, and all were for growth.
These experiences have taught me that wherever I go in the world, real estate remains deeply personal. The language may change, but the desire is the same: to feel at home—in our own choices, our space, and in life.
Every conversation with overseas Filipinos, global investors, or fellow dreamers reminds me why I love what I do.

Miss Martha, Wet Grass, and Clean Beginnings
A few years ago, I co-founded Miss Martha, a cleaning company born from a simple idea: What if move-ins could feel easier, cleaner, and more joyful?
Today, Miss Martha helps prepare properties for turnover, deep-cleans lived-in homes, and supports both families and brokers alike. Whether it’s a one-bedroom condo or a three-story home, we clean with care and intention.
Our signature scent—Wet Grass—inspired the name of this blog. To me, it smells like a fresh start. That moment after a gentle rain when the world feels clean, alive, and full of promise.
That’s how I want people to feel when they enter their home—or land on this page.
My Foundation: Family
Through all the seasons of work and life, my greatest joy is still being with my family.
I’m married to Allen, my biggest supporter and partner in every way. He shows up for me and our kids—even being with me at drag shows (because yes—happy wife, happy life! 🩷).
We have two sons—Mateo and Marko. They’re the reason I work hard and love harder. They remind me why homes matter. They help me remember the “why” behind what I do.
Why I’m Writing This Blog
I’m not a vlogger. I’ve always found it easier to express myself in writing—or through email, messages and texts (IYKYK 😅).
Sometimes, I struggle to say what I really mean—not because I don’t feel it, but because I probably feel it too much. Writing gives me the space to slow down, process, and share what’s in my heart.
There’s so much I want to tell—so many stories I’ve held close for years. This blog is my space to finally share them.
So welcome again to Life, Real Estate, and Wet Grass—my little corner of the internet. A quiet space for reflection, storytelling, and connection. Here, I’ll write about:
- Real estate, the Philippine market, and what 20 years in the field has taught me
- Growing businesses like Miss Martha and askME with purpose and heart
- Traveling and finding meaning in every journey
- Parenting, partnership, and those in-between moments that make a life
Choosing connection over perfection—and service over sales
If you’ve made it this far—SALAMAT. Even if no one reads it, I’m happy to help just one person at a time, one story at a time.
Welcome to Life, Real Estate, and Wet Grass.
